Consumer Health Data Privacy
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy is a separate, standalone notice that supplements our Privacy Policy. It explains how Beginary handles "consumer health data," and it applies to residents of states with consumer-health-data laws — including the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law (SB 370), and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act. Where this notice and our general Privacy Policy address the same topic for consumer health data, this notice controls.
1. What "consumer health data" means here
Consumer health data is information, linked or reasonably linkable to you, that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. For Beginary, that primarily means your mood check-ins (for example, Fine, Wired, Heavy, Stuck), how a task feels to you, and the fact that you use a product focused on ADHD. We do not collect medical diagnoses, treatment records, or biometric identifiers — we don't build a voiceprint (see our Privacy Policy).
2. What we collect, and why
- Mood check-ins and task-feel — to give you the mood-aware nudges and personal patterns that are the point of the app, and to show them back to you.
- Content you submit for an AI breakdown, and voice-capture text — to turn what you enter or say into tasks and steps, when you use those features.
We collect consumer health data only to provide features you ask for, and we never use it for advertising.
3. Where it comes from
We collect it directly from you — what you enter or say in the app. We don't buy it or collect it from outside sources.
4. Who we share it with
We share consumer health data only with the service providers that operate these features, each for a narrow purpose:
- Anthropic — processes the text you submit for an AI breakdown or voice capture, only when you use those features; configured so it doesn't train its models on your content.
- Supabase — secure storage and authentication.
We do not share your individual consumer health data with coaches (a future feature would share only aggregated patterns, and only if you opt in per coach). We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
5. We do not sell your consumer health data
We have never sold it, and we will not sell it.
6. Consent, and how to withdraw it
We collect consumer health data only as needed to provide the features you request — for example, your mood check-ins power the nudges you asked for. If we ever want to collect or share your consumer health data beyond providing those features, we ask for your opt-in consent first. The clearest example is the optional "Improving Beginary" program (storing your voice-capture text to improve our own features): it is off by default, we ask before turning it on, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings, after which we stop collecting new data for that purpose.
7. Your rights
- Confirm and access the consumer health data we have about you.
- Delete it — deleting your account removes it from our systems, and we direct our processors to delete it as well.
- Withdraw consent to any optional processing, at any time.
To exercise a right, use the in-app controls or email us at hello@beginary.com. We'll verify your request and respond within the timeframes the applicable law requires. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
8. No geofencing
We do not use geofences around any location that provides health-care services to identify or track you, or to send you notifications or advertising.
